Introduction：
Wu zu-liang was born into a luthier family in Guangzhou China in the year of 1962. Influenced by his father, his passion for violin was inseparably starting at the young age. In 1985, he studied violin making in Guangzhou violin making school under
Mr. Chen Jin Nong and Mr. Chen Linxin, then graduated with the excellent scores in 1987.
At the age of 27, Wu studied and researched exclusively under American luthier Haide Lin. Soon he established Huaxing
violins factory in Guangzhou, extending a family business to the international level. In the past 20 years, Wu has traveled
and studied Italian violins craftmanship and history in both Europed and North America.
Awarding:
November 2006, Wu was awarded the silver madal for violin tone at the 17th International Violin Making Competition in
Baltimore, Maryland. Two years later, Wu in collaboration with Haide Lin, was awarded the certificate of merit for cello
tone and quartet tone at the 18th International Violin Making Competition in Portland, Oregon. On November 2011, Wu
was awarded the certificate of merit for viola tone and quarted tone at the 19th International Violin Making Competition.
Today, Wu continues to research the craft of violin making. His studies allow HuaXing Violins to follow traditional Italian
Violin making craftsmanship and classical tone, providing musicians the best instruments for their performances.
